About Zimmerman Reed
Work that has
shaped this firm.
When communities are displaced by fire, evacuation, or industrial failure, the legal path forward is rarely simple. Zimmerman Reed has spent more than two decades navigating exactly this kind of complexity — on behalf of the people and communities who had no say in what happened to them.
Who we represent
People and communities whose losses resulted from failures they didn’t cause
Zimmerman Reed has spent decades on the plaintiff’s side of complex litigation — representing people, families, property owners, municipalities, and communities affected by corporate negligence, environmental harm, financial fraud, consumer violations, and disaster-related loss.

Wildfire and disaster experience
This is not new territory for us
For more than two decades, Zimmerman Reed has represented people, families, property owners, municipalities, and communities affected by chemical releases, mass evacuations, environmental contamination, and disaster-related harm.
The cases that look most complicated from the outside are often the ones that matter most to get right.
Currently represents families, property owners, and business owners impacted by the 2025 Eaton, Palisades, and Hurst Fires. Previously represented dozens of families affected by the 2018 Camp Fire in Butte County.
Filed a class action on behalf of 50,000 Orange County residents forced to evacuate after a chemical storage failure at the GKN Aerospace facility in Garden Grove. The case is built on the same accountability principle that drives the firm’s wildfire work.
Represented residents under a mandatory evacuation order after the refinery explosion and fire in Superior, Wisconsin, serving as class counsel in Bruzek v. Husky Oil Operations.
Represented hundreds of people injured by the largest documented release of anhydrous ammonia in U.S. history, achieving a successful settlement and a separate $1.2 million jury verdict for two individual clients.
Represented cities, towns, school districts, and municipalities seeking recovery for groundwater contamination, including costs tied to removing MTBE and benzene from drinking water supplies.
